Steam FAQ

Is BattleTabs on Steam?

Yes. Install it and you're straight into ranked battles against real opponents, with nothing to buy first.

When did BattleTabs launch on Steam?

August 11, 2026, on Windows and macOS. Brandon pressed the release button live, mid-talk, at the Cambridge Game Makers meetup that evening.

Is BattleTabs free on Steam?

Yes, completely. There's an optional Battle Club membership ($4.99/mo) that boosts gold and research-point rewards and unlocks shop discounts, but it touches neither matchmaking nor ship abilities, so ranked isn't pay-to-win. You can't buy Battle Club through Steam yet.

Is there a BattleTabs demo on Steam?

No. We retired the pre-launch demo once the game shipped, because the full thing costs nothing anyway.

Does BattleTabs progress carry over between Steam and other platforms?

Yes. Your fleet, rank, and cosmetics follow the account rather than the device, so Steam and your phone are the same save.

What kind of game is BattleTabs?

Turn-based naval combat: Battleship turned into a fast 1v1 duel where each of 40+ ships has a unique ability.
