Battles
Battles are the core gameplay of battletabs, and are the way you can earn trophies, as well as other rewards. Battles take place on an 8x8 board with rocks filling some of the tiles. each player gets 4 ships to place on their own board.
Battles can be played in 2 different ways: Short battles and long battles. Short battles take 2-3 minutes, and have a timer of 30seconds per turn. Long battles can take 2-3 days, and hace a timer of 24 hours per turn (though usually once both opponents are online it ends pretty quick).
Battles work by each player taking turns to fire at tiles on your opponents board, either hitting a ship or missing. The main twist to the game is that each ship has an ability, such as attacking mulitple tiles for a turn instead of just 1.
During a battle a player can also send emotes, and use the ping feature to interact with their opponent.
