Ability

The Coracle has the ability to destroy ships in in one hit. The coracle takes up one square. The Coracle can only attack revealed squares, and once it attacks, it will destroy the ships in 1 shot, with a cooldown of 6. Coracle also has the passive ability where one unoccupied (meaning no ships are on it) tile will be revealed on your own side when attacking without an ability.

Unlocking

Once the player has completed 3 battles with the Big & Tough fleet, they unlock the Reveal & Snipe fleet, which alongside unlocks the coracle for custom fleet use.

Strategies

Firstly, NEVER USE CORACLE WITHOUT A REVEALER. (Its ability requires a revealed tile to activate). Moving on, the coracle is potentially the most inconsistent ship in the game due to its size meaning it can be sunk at any time, meaning that placement is key with the coracle. Avoid placing it in corners or near other ships, where it is most likely to be accidentally sniped. Try and conceal the coracle with other ships, so that corner sonars can't detect the coracle.

Skins

The coracle currently has 2 skins in the game: Jack-o'-racle and Pool Party coracle, both of which can be bought in the daily Shop rotation. The coracle also has 2 more skins, santoracle, and goreacle. These skins were present during seasonal events, but are not currently obtainable and equippable skins to be used.

Trivia

  • The Coracle is very popular among the community, and it can be seen on the logos of the BattleTabs website and the BattleTabs Discord.
  • Coracle is considered by many to be the best ship in the game.
  • The Coracle is one of the original and most recognizable ships in the game.
  • It was designed to be a very small ship to look like a sniper, which needed information on where the target was, and eliminating the target, whilst being hidden. (Credits to [DEV] tomkail)
  • In the portrait Goreacle you cannot see the pool of blood in the ship itself, but you can see it in the coracle.png file.
  • There is a slight controversy about whether any more 1x1 ships should exist, due to them being hard to find.
  • Coracle's tile revealing ability exists to make coracle faster for opponents to find it it is the last ship remaining, otherwise it would take too long.
  • The unique Challenge "Last coracle standing" requires coracle to be the only ship alive when a battle is won.
