Ability

The Killer Squid can only attack a revealed tile and reveals all 4 surrounding tiles with a cooldown of 2. The killer squid has an L shape in a 2x2 bounding box.

Unlocking

Once the player has won 3 battles with the Big & Tough fleet, they unlock the Reveal & Snipe fleet, and along with it unlock the Killer Squid available for custom fleet usage.

Strategies

Killer squid is an okay revealer, which is good for scouting out to find ships. Some situations to use it include turn 2 of after your first hit, and also extending some tiles off of a sonar, to try and find the ship.

Trivia

• This ship can use missed tiles as revealed tiles, meaning that revealed tiles without ships and missed tiles as the same thing.
