Blunderbuster

The Blunderbuster is a ship that was added as a part of the Season 1 battle pass, along with Mutineers, Conniving Cannoneer, Pirate Thief, Cartographer, and Skull Cove.

Ability

The Blunderbuster is a 2x2 ship with the ability to target a 3x3 area, then randomly attack 4 tiles in that area. It has a cooldown of 5, however if the cooldown goes under 0 (6 turns or more), the ship becomes 'Overcharged' and will randomly attack 5 tiles instead of 4.

Unlocking

During Season 1, the blunderbuster could be unlocked by reaching a level which contained it as a reward. However after the season ended, blunderbuster is now one of the ships in the daily Shop rotation, and can be bought for 25000 Gold (18000 with Battle Club).

Strategies

The Blunderbuster tends to work better as a scout if attacking a 3x3 square, however a strategy called "edge targeting" can be used, where the blunderbuster attacks a 2x3 rectangle on the edge of the board, or 2x2 square in the corner. This allows for more effective damaging if the goal is to try and sink a ship.

• As of 3/22/2025, Blunderbuster received a cd increase from 4 --> 5 (with overcharge increased from 5 --> 6)
• The Blunderbuster was called the 'One-Eyed Artillery' before release.
• The One-Eyed Artillery was represented by the emoji 👁.
