The Cartographer is a ship that was added as a part of the Season 1 battle pass.

Ability

The Cartographer have the ability to choose a revealed tile and expand the revealed area by 1 tile. The cooldown of this ability is 5.

Unlocking

During Season 1, the Cartographer could be unlocked by reaching a level which contained it as a reward. However after the season ended, Cartographer is now one of the ships in the daily Shop rotation, and can be bought for 25000 Gold (18000 with Battle Club).

Strategies

Cartographer is a powerful revealer, with a very high cooldown, greatly weakening the ship. It works best with an already largely revealed area, such as a sonar, and can reveal lots of tiles. It is good to follow the usage of cartographer with abilities like Longboat and Coracle. However due to its high cooldown and vunerable ship Shape, there is a chance that the Cartographer will be sunk before its cooldown reaches 0.
